Understanding Our Daily Operations and Fee Structure
This post covers the practical details of drop-offs, pick-ups, payment, and what to pack for your child.
Arrival and Departure Procedures
- Required Sign-In/Out: Parents must sign their child in upon arrival and sign them out upon departure.
- Communication: We encourage parents to arrive to pick up their child by 5:00
p.m. to allow for important communication about their child’s day.
- Late Pick-Up: A fine of $10 will be levied for each 5-minute period after 5:30 p.m., starting on the second occasion a parent is late.
- Failure to Pick-Up: If we cannot reach a parent or emergency contact after 45 minutes past closing time (5:30 p.m.), staff are required to call the Ministry of Children and Family Development Emergency services.
Fees, Payment, and Withdrawal
- Payment Due: Fees are calculated monthly and are due and payable on the 1st day of each month.
- Payment Method: Please provide 6 post-dated cheques dated the 1st of each month. Cash payment is not acceptable due to security issues.
- Absences: Full fees are required to maintain your child’s place if they are absent due to sickness, vacation, or personal reasons.
- Deposit/Withdrawal: A deposit of one full month’s fee is required at registration. This deposit is refundable only if you provide one full month’s written notice of withdrawal, provided on the 1st of the month.
Food and Clothing
- Nut Aware Zone: Due to the age of our children and allergies, the daycare is a
“nut aware zone”.
- Choking Hazards: For safety, high-risk choking foods such as grapes, cherry, tomato, and hot dogs must be cut into lengthwise pieces at home.
- Lunches: Please have your child’s lunch labeled and ready to serve in a microwavable container. All food needing to be cut or peeled (except bananas) must be prepared at home.
- Label Everything: Please ensure all of your child’s items, including clothing, are
LABELLED to ensure they receive them back.
