The center is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The center will close due to severe weather (e.g., heavy snowfall) if public transportation cannot operate or if public schools in West Vancouver are closed.
If a court order is on file, staff will act in accordance with that legal document. If no legal documents exist, staff will follow the written information about access provided by the enrolling parent.
They must be an authorized person listed on the registration and must present photo identification to staff. If an unauthorized person is sent, the parent may give phone authorization, but the person must present two pieces of identification, with at least one picture ID.
Only doctor-prescribed medication in the original container (stating the child’s name, dosage, and time) can be given, and parents must complete the “Consent to Administer Medication Form.”. Aspirin or acetaminophen will not be given.
The daycare is a “nut aware zone”. Parents must ensure all fruits and food needing to be cut or peeled are done at home (with the exception of bananas). Food that is a choking hazard, such as grapes, cherry, tomato, and hot dogs, must be cut into lengthwise pieces.
Yes. Staff are strictly prohibited from using shoving, hitting, shaking, or spanking, any form of harsh or degrading treatment, confinement or physical restraint as punishment, or depriving the child of meals, snacks, or necessary use of a toilet.
A deposit equal to one full month’s fee is refundable only if you provide one full month’s written notice of withdrawal on the 1st of the month. If you cancel a space you reserved in advance, the deposit is non-refundable.
